Hi, I'm Julia.
Julia is a filmmaker who uses storytelling to poke holes in the bubbles humans construct for themselves. With a background in both journalism and commercial videography, she uses film to depict deeply human stories that have the power to shape how we see each other as humans.
From Alaska to Mexico, she has covered topics from climate change to immigration, and has worked for clients such as Starbucks, HIAS and the United Service Organization. Most recently, she spent time with immigration activists and Border Patrol agents alike to report on the paradoxes of life on the Texas-Mexico border.
Julia now resides in Austin, Texas, where she can be found working as a multimedia producer at KUT radio and swing dancing to jazz music in her spare time.
