Following violent conflict in Ethiopia’s Tigray region, Birhan and her husband, Yirga, were left living with HIV without access to ART (antiretroviral therapy). Then they met social worker Manna Leake, who helped Birhan and her husband restart their ART and connected them with small business loans. Now, Birhan runs her own business.

After hearing reports of staggeringly high suicide rates among LGBTQ youth in Utah, Stephanie Larsen recognized a dire need within her LDS community for support of LGBTQ youth who felt ostracized.
